Lord... What happened to these vintage-looking ads? Where have all the cool dudes gone? The year was 1966 and Connery was also promoting his film "A Fine Madness."
Perhaps booze is no longer cool? Just guessing. Am having a tough time finding 2010 examples of cool, in general. Probably Clooney comes closest? Maybe?
I was trying to come up with a modern time equivalent, like Marti... I don't think the Old Spice man quite compares but he IS funny. All the gals at work think he's hot stuff.
I'm late catching up on posts after a crazy busy week. I agree, we need more vintage posters like that. I actually just shipped a couple of vintage posters, made on a thin, tin picture frame to my Dad for his birthday to hang on the wall in his man cave:)

ReplyDeleteMy heart is pittering and patting.
ReplyDeleteSean Connery... be still my pittering heart.

ReplyDelete... I agree with Marti. Clooney may be our only hope. Maybe Jon Hamm.
ReplyDeleteConnery was a cool dude! There's a guy goes in the local pub here and he's a ringer for a young Connery. Maybe he should get over to Hollywood! :-)
ReplyDeleteI loved "A Fine Madness". It showed that Connery could be something other than Bond.
ReplyDeleteDo you realize that he just turned 80 last week!
Connery is hawt.
ReplyDeleteDitto Jodi.

Cheers to you Virgos!
